The acclaimed industrialist is to many peoples surprise an architect. He got his BS. degree for architecture with structural engineering from Cornell University in 1962. He then even worked as an architect in the United States before as the story goes he was called back to India by his late grandmother Navajbhai Tata to work on the shop floor of Tata Steel.

The popular ‘Friends’ actress studied architecture at the Mount Vernon College in Washington DC. And just like in the case of Aishwarya Rai, she quit the course to pursue a career in modelling and acting. As the saying goes, once you have been through the course, it never leaves you. It is rumoured that she took to designing the interiors of her Malibu home recently.

He owns ‘Evolutions’, an architectural and interior designing firm which designs for many of his Bollywood friends such as Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar.
